Privacy Policy
Habakkuk Designs ("we") is the responsible party for personal information processed by Troy, in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
What we collect
- Account: email address, country, password (stored securely by our authentication provider, never by us in plain text).
- Uploads: the video clips and selfies you upload, previews and the videos we generate for you. Selfies show your face and are treated as sensitive.
- Billing: subscription status and payment references from Paystack. We never see or store your card number.
- Usage: jobs you run and their AI processing cost, to enforce your monthly allowance.
Why we use it
Only to provide the service you asked for: creating your videos, running your subscription, preventing abuse and meeting legal obligations. We do not sell your information or use your selfies to train AI models.
Who processes it for us
- Supabase — account login, database and private file storage.
- Runware (and the model provider Pruna AI) — AI generation. Your clip and selfie are sent to them only to generate your video.
- Paystack — payments.
- Wikimedia Commons — video search. Your search words are sent from our server, not linked to your account.
Some of these providers process data outside South Africa; we use them only under their data-protection terms.
How long we keep it
Uploads, previews and generated videos are deleted automatically after 30 days. Account and billing records are kept while your account is open and as required for tax and accounting law.
Your rights
You can access, correct or delete your information. Delete your account (and all files) at any time from the Account page, or email us. You may also lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (South Africa).
Security
Files are stored in a private bucket and shared only through short-lived signed links. Connections use HTTPS. Access to your data is limited to the Troy server.
