Terms of Service

Troy (troy.habakkukai.co.za) is operated by Habakkuk Designs, Cape Town, South Africa. By creating an account you agree to these terms.

1. The service

Troy uses third-party AI models to replace the main character in a short video clip you upload with the person in your selfie, optionally changing their outfit. Results are generated by AI and may be imperfect; we do not guarantee likeness, outfit accuracy or lip-sync.

2. Your content and permissions

• Only upload video clips you own or have permission to use. Clips found with Troy's video search come from Wikimedia Commons under free licences (public domain, CC0, CC BY or CC BY-SA). When you share a video made from one, include the credit Troy shows you; CC BY-SA clips must be shared under the same licence.
• Only upload selfies of yourself, or of another adult who has given you explicit consent.
• You may not use Troy to create content that is sexual, defamatory, harassing, deceptive (including impersonating a real person without consent or misleading political content), or that infringes anyone's rights or breaks any law.
• You remain responsible for how you use and share generated videos. Where a watermark is added, do not remove it to mislead others about how a video was made.

3. Subscription and billing

• Troy costs R700 per month for customers in South Africa, billed in South African rand through Paystack. Other prices shown are approximate conversions for reference.
• Subscriptions renew monthly until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your account; you keep access until the end of the period you paid for. Payments already made are not refunded, except where required by law.
• Each subscription includes a fair-use AI allowance per billing period. When it is used up, generation pauses until your next renewal.

4. Storage and deletion

Uploaded clips, selfies, previews and results are deleted automatically after 30 days. Download anything you want to keep. You can delete your account and all your files at any time from your account page.

5. Availability and liability

We aim to keep Troy available but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. To the extent allowed by law, our liability is limited to the subscription fees you paid in the three months before the claim.

6. Termination

We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.
